YOUNG JEWISH LEADERSHIP PAC (YJLPAC) ENDORSES MINNESOTA SENATOR NORM COLEMAN

NEW YORK – The Young Jewish Leadership PAC today endorsed Norm Coleman for reelection for the U.S. Senate in Minnesota

The Young Jewish Leadership PAC has endorsed Minnesota Senator Norm Coleman.

“Norm Coleman is by far the best qualified candidate to serve the people of Minnesota in the Unites States Senate.  He has demonstrated a clear commitment to Israel’s security. Sen. Coleman has repeatedly tried to put the interests of the United States first at the United Nations and other bodies,” said  Lawrence Scheer, Chairman of YJLPAC.  Scheer continued, “as Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, Sen. Coleman revealed massive amounts of corruption in the U.N.’s Oil-for-Food program, and even called for Secretary General Kofi Annan to resign.  As a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, he lobbied hard for the confirmation of John Bolton as our Ambassador to the U.N.”

Lawrence Scheer stated further: “Senator Coleman’s opponent, Al Franken, is demonstrably not up to the job.  Franken has made a career of besmirching conservatives through personal attacks and has no relevant legislative or judicial experience.  He is far to the left of Minnesota’s and the country’s population on most issues.  Therefore we strongly endorse Norm Coleman for the Senate in Minnesota.”
